Moral purchasing potential
Moral purchasing potential exists when consumers have information about what they buy. Until they do, it does not exist, and moral purchasing power cannot be organized.
Consumerium Services provide to the moral consumer:
- verified facts in the Publish Wiki relevant to guide moral purchasing
- the ability to set faction/affiliation preferences or social network trust relations so that one is trusting information from people of similar ethics, even if they are an ethical minority, e.g. Greens or something
- optional facilities to simplify these choices and advices, e.g. into red light or price premium
- optional facilities to deliver this Consumerium buying signal to point of purchase
- optional facilities to integrate with worn devices so that the information is available instantly, e.g. on barcode swipe by a scanner ring.
All of that does not in itself provide moral purchasing power. That requires a further layer of social capital and deliberate coordination that the factions, campaigns, and of course trolls and campaigners themselves bring to the task. As these factions see morality differently, so they will likely vary somewhat in how they would wish Research Wiki to work and what to accept as fact.
Getting from potential to power requires some means of combining the views, e.g. a revert currency, or other method of answer recommendation relying say on approval voting or edits, votes and bets in some other combination, that all factions accept as "objective".
