Goals for describing Packaging are:
- Amount and Material of packaging
- Distinction of functional packaging and decorative packaging
- Figuring out alternative packaging for delivering a similar product. (eg. tinned vs. boxed crushed tomatoes)
- recyclability of packaging
Note that what is packaging in one stage of production process is the actual product in some other cases.
