    :No, they are clearly not.  Though there are global pricing guidelines, they tend to apply very differently to different origins of diamonds.  The whole issue of [[conflict diamond]]s has also made diamonds clearly NOT commodity, since people now clearly do care if they came from [[Gus Keuwenhoven]] or not.

    No, they are clearly not. Though there are global pricing guidelines, they tend to apply very differently to different origins of diamonds. The whole issue of conflict diamonds has also made diamonds clearly NOT commodity, since people now clearly do care if they came from Gus Keuwenhoven or not.
