Ape extinction is a bad thing, according to other primates. Like us (there is no ethical code that permits killing near relatives for your own convenience).

Most people would want their individual buying criteria to avoid buying things, like the rare earth tantallum, that get them killed in the extraction process, which usually also causes deforestation.
