Research in Wikipedia
These need most work:
- w:List of company registers (Currently listing FI,IE,PK,SE)
- w:List of trade unions (Currently listing only UK, AU, FI)
- w:List of employer associations (Currently a stub with some info on AU, FI, ME, UK)
- w:List of tariffs
- w:Lists of companies
- w:List of who owns what (a skeleton at the moment)
- w:Economy of Earth (contains some interesting stuff, but it's not organised)
These haven't even been started:
- w:List of advertisement agencies (by country) (doesn't exist now)
- w:List of association registers (doesn't exist now)
- w:List of ethical funds (doesn't exist now)
- w:List of non-governmental organisations (doesn't exist now)
These are fairly complete:
- w:List of professions (very complete)
- w:List of stock exchanges (very complete)
- w:List of supermarkets
- w:List of reference tables Please check this out if you can think of some list that is not included here

The w:Open Directory Project at http://dmoz.org. The Open Directory Project is the largest, most comprehensive human-edited directory of the Web. It is constructed and maintained by a vast, global community of volunteer editors. The contents are licensed under Open Directory License, which is a restrictive form of an w:Open content license.
Google offers a more sophisticated view to the contents of http://dmoz.org so here are some useful directories
