    3GPP is technical standardisation body to develop so called 3RD Generation Mobile Services and it's members are ARIB, CWTS, ETSI, T1, TTA and TTC

    • Files that are suffixed .3gp contain a new video format accessible using the w:H.263-codec.
    • MMS or Multi Media Message (available for GSM, GPRS and 3G-networks depending on your provider) uses this format for video delievery and there are also indicators that this standard is gaining stronghold in Japan too.
