A reflexive system defines its control verbs in the same way as its content. That is, one can edit the controls more or less the same way that one edits other content. Only software can actually have this capability, so it is an attribute of user interfaces, knowledge bases, portals and wikis. For example, one might edit the code that handles this page at code:reflexive. If any special handling of this page were required, it'd be there, and could be edited by anyone with the permissions.
To develop itself, Consumerium itself must rely heavily on reflexivity, beginning with close attention to its glossary.
