Control verb

A control verb is a verb that controls a system, including its human elements, e.g. ban, desysop. The Publish:policy and Research:policy need a very strict set of such verbs.

A reflexive system treats control verbs very similarly to any other content.

A special case of a control verb is a command verb that actually is encoded in the system, such as "edit" or "save" or "protect", all of which can be applied to any wiki page. A good Develop:policy would be to insist that all code specific to a namespace or named page goes at a page like code:verb. See talk:namespace.
