Product substitution depends on use of the product. The relation of Product Groups to each other in Product substitution is very different from relations in Production flow.
Examples of product substitution:
- A vegetarian substitution for ground beef could be ground soy.
- Electric heating is a substitution for oil heating
- Soy milk is a substritution for milk
