Ecological lens

The idea of an ecological lens is more neutral than that of ecological wisdom but is closely related: basically, an ecological or ethical lens or economic lens are thought of as three different ways to see a decision, and assess all its implications. Choices regarding waste water are a good example: one can think about what it costs to deal with it properly, what the impacts are downstream, or what nature's services would try to do with it if no humans were present.

Greens preferentially apply an ecological lens to decisions as they seem the ethical and economic realms largely as dependent on the ecosystems that sustain human life. To other factions, it's just one of several views.
