Buying decision
An given buying decision depends on factors that are not listed in the buying criteria alone, but on more situational factors like likelihood of finding a more suitable substitute nearby, the actual degree of commitment to the moral values expressed in individual buying criteria, etc. Only for institutional buying criteria where one is spending money on behalf of a group that has jointly committed itself, can one reasonably expect a buying decision to be conducted exactly as the criteria are described.
For individuals, it may be important to track actual buying decisions and update desired versus actual buying criteria.
