Cost of running them went substantially down and resources went up. The only negative thing about the new server is that the hosting company does not use renewable electricity, but the fact that the data center has ground water cooling mitigates this a bit as it saves a lot of electricity. There was some trouble when upgrading the test wiki with 'php update.php --wiki=testwiki' exited with an error stating that the updater tried to update the wrong database (!), but after banging my head at the keyboard for a while I figured out this may be due to the test wiki sharing some tables from this development wiki and that indeed was the case.
