There are excellent reasons for [[civil society]] groups to adopt DECT high quality audio, since it actually makes their officers and representatives instantly available for crisp radio interviews more or less all the time.  If there's a choice between someone accessible only by conventional phone who may need to come in to some office to use an ISDN phone for an interview, and one who is instantly available at that higher quality via their DECT phone, it's a reasonable assumption that the more available person will be interviewed more.
