Basically campaigns on an unreleased product is a futures instrument on the completed product.

Campaigns on planned products or planned products are quite important because companies can utilise the feedback from The Consumerium Exchange to refine their future production to receive better evaluation upon completion by releasing product and production descriptions during the product development process and iterate on the planned design.
