Talk:Interwiki identity standard

If we are going to be running multiple wikis then one solution would be that they all share the user information table. This is a hack, but would save us from the trouble of having identity disputes over usernames in different wikis

How hard is that, technically? The disputes are inevitable otherwise. Asking people to have the same jabber.org identity is also not difficult to manage, and makes chat work too.

I guess we'll have to figure out how difficult it is. It's propably doable by some MySQL hack
