An example situation could be where company X has had some bad practice in the past and then drops that practice. A [[boycott]] might split to an [[endorsement]] and [[boycott]] as a result that some people feel that the company should still be boycotted because of past bad corporate citezenship and some people feel that it should be endorsed to support it's new direction.
