Richard Stallman
Richard Stallman originated free software and the GFDL license used by the R&D wiki. He is a major influence on many debates on patent law as applied to software, and an opponent of both open source and shared source. He grumbles also about the consortium approach.
He created the GFDL and the "open patent" pool.
