Scanner

A scanner is the device that reads a barcode. This will be required to trigger the Consumerium buying signal and supporting it is the most basic of our hardware requirements and software requirements.

These are now very small and easily battery operated. Some fit in a scanner ring that anyone can wear innocuously - which might provide an advantage in meeting certain performance requirements.
