Privacy issues in Consumerium include:
- Protection of the consumer from unauthorized identification and the threats resulting from this - making sure user data is very anonymized
- Protection of the retailers' sensitive information, mainly prices, remember they have their own w:customer privacy and competitive concerns
- Protection of everyone from the Consumerium Governance Organization and it's operatives. This may include logging and publishing all SQL queries made by staff (see also Transparent Consumerium for a strategy to ensure this, and w:carceral state for what happens if one doesn't do this)
