Usually wiki politics is petty, immature and primitive and involves labelling [[heretic]]s and engaging in [[wiki witchhunt]]s.  These behaviours are no longer tolerated in the real world, but many [[sysop]]s do not live in the real world and can't take the actual constraints of the real world, so they live in a fantasy world, where they have absolute power to silence [[trolls|those who oppose]].
A [[Rise of Martinets]] occurs when this is not recognized and stopped quickly.
