| New try at the upgrading. I thought that the [[test wiki]]'s inconsistent state could be due to that the shared tables need to be disabled during the upgrade or there will be trouble. So I made a copy of the shared tables and uploaded them into the test wiki before running the upgrade and the test wiki got up just fine. Now that I have tested that [[mw:Extension:Wikibase]] works in the test wiki and editing and uploading work on both wikis I'm happy to say that the wiki family is happily at the newest [[Mediawiki]] version 1.33

| In the morning wrote [https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T234027 this ticket to the Wikimedia Phabricator ticketing system titled 'Unable to upgrade wiki family of 2 wikis from 1.32.0 to 1.33.0 due to DB structure being different than the upgrade.php expects'] and then various people helped and expert [[w:User:Anomie]] provided SQL to fix the issue of the ticket. Big thanks to Anomie for single-handedly putting the database of the [[test wiki]] into a consistent and upgradeable state.

| Not all was well yet. Running the upgrades on the 2 wikis of the wiki family this [[development wiki]] was fine, but the [[test wiki]] ended up in an inconsistent state e.g. Main Page missing, revisions missing.

Cost of running them went substantially down and resources went up.
