A human is the only hominid empowered to buy stuff, or likely to receive the Consumerium buying signal. Thus preventing ape genocide is pretty much up to humans. When humans own other humans that is "slavery". When they eat other humans it is "cannibalism". Somehow these terms are not applied to our 98% genetic relatives, which seems like racism somehow.
