The Core Server is the server software that Central Services relies on. It might run on any of several server boxes.

In Transparent Consumerium this software's operations might be quite visible. That leads to some worst cases involving security issues. The trust model would have to be quite fully developed to be ready to take the challenges that would lead to.

In Distributed Consumerium, there is no such core server, and the Consumerium protocol replaces it for all practical purposes.
