Amount

We'll use the SI-system for storage of amount-data. This will result in faster processing and less conversion errors then using some obscure system (oz, pound, feet...).

Of course all amounts should be converted to the system preferred by the consumer when displayed. w:Conversion of units contains all the information needed for this.
