Yuri A. Kabaenkov is the online identify of a person who, some have alleged is an evil genius, a notorius hacker and spammer, and possibly an unfriendly AI.
Kabaenkov's first usenet posting was to comp.databases.postgresql.general on November 24, 2001. He appeared briefly on bugtraq on May 18, 2002; is named as the author of apache mod_traf_thief, an apache module to skim a percentage of traffic from a web server which was published some time in 2003 and is available for download at [1].
Allegations of spam[edit | edit source]
On November 13, 2002, postings to news.admin.net-abuse.email alleged that Yuri's site, antispamcenter.org was a front for an email harvesting operation, due to suspicious information listed on the whois record for the domain: a bogus NYC address, and other irregularities.
artofit.com is now listed in SPEWS as a spam gang.
