In general we should avoid using anchor text that is not the title of the page it links to. We might consider banning it completely. I think it MUST be banned completely in the Signal Wiki for all sorts of reasons, but mostly because we really want to use only noun phrases and verb phrases that are well-known and can become habitual in daily conversation. If it really makes a sentence clumsy, rewrite the sentence.

That said, none of the anchor text choices in this article are bad, it's just a bad policy to let anchor texts carry information that the article title doesn't.
