Methods of deliberate harassment used by some users of large public wikis:
- denial of service attack,
- false crime report,
- false accusations of terrorism,
- require response to hearsay,
- libel,
- outing,
- slander,
- framing
These are the modus operandi of Wikimedia in particular, well known as a very bad example of wiki management and probably the worst example of wiki governance among surviving large wikis. They are resisted strongly by the Wikipedia Red Faction who seek to have those who do these things driven off by trolls. Sysops may or may not consider being driven off by a troll to be harassment, but, usually all that is at stake is the right to edit without opposition, and in any case, reverting edits (even ad hominem revert) is not a criminal form of harassment <-- this word is defined in law.
The Consumerium Governance Organization should have strict policies against all these forms of harassment.
