A wikitext pipe trick is to change the anchor text to be different from the page name. It is used often when someone wishes to ascribe meaning or implication to a page that is specific to some faction. Normally, it is better to create a so that the relative use of that phrase or implication is easy to track with what links here, and so that anyone who strongly disagrees can easily expand the redirect to a full page explaining the various perspectives on it. This also discourages whole sale rewriting of a more general page. For example, if someone wishes to advocate a teleological approach to change based on rules and such, rather than an ontological approach based on glossary consensus, it would be better for them to write an article in the "teleological" space than it would be to have them heavily edit ontology from their own POV.
