Cocoa Protocol is really important to this. In fact it should be on essential projects. It's the only example of this done in practice.

Now as I browsed through the Cocoa Protocol it seems to me to be a commitment to good Corporate Citizenship by the chocolate industry which is a good thing, but it has nothing to do with Work descriptions. I didn't see any informative and well presented description of what kind of work and how much of it goes into chocolate bar, which is what I was after with the article.
Agreed, but the language in the Cocoa Protocol is what you must copy to deal with other things. And it does have work description issues in it, at least basically, because at the root the CP is about eliminating slavery - something they have negotiated for 140 years!!! It is unlikely we would get better language by starting over from scratch and spending our own 140 years.
Also ISO 8000 series is really really important, because it's the Corporate citizenship standard.
