Checkout Consumerium does not imply flashing your purchases on a video screen or audio presentation of the contents of your trolley as implied in some trollish articles, though it does imply being able to scan barcode there just as you would at a retail kiosk or retail shelf.

Checkout Consumerium simply offers you to get all the GTIN code information transferred to a worn device at the checkout counter so you can retrospect on what you bought and what you didn't when you get home and can move your list of things you bought to your home computer and start discovering about the products you just unloaded to your cupboards and fridge and freezer.

The integration of Near Field Communication or NFC devices to checkout counters and mobile phones would provide for smoothest operation of this feature.

This may be an aspect or feature of Distributed Consumerium.
