Brazil has major deforestation plans to destroy forests to expand agriculture and ranching in the Amazon basin. This is for export markets, though the Brasilian Beef lobby denies this, according to Finnish media, and claims that all export beef is produced in the southern parts of the country failing to admit that even if this were so the export is raising prices for amazon beef in Brasils internal market.

These plans could perhaps be discouraged by assurances that these would be red light export products, given the mayhem involved in their production.
